I decided to create this thread because with great power comes great responsibility. With power comes haters too and since I've become a MOD, a few of the posters have tried to rid me of my duties and make me out to be some sort of "tyrant" only because I don't let some of ya'll post SPAM as much as you'd like. It's safe to say though that the positive has overtaken the negative. I've received numerous congratulations messages from many of you and I thank you sincerely for that.

I am Ralph aka HavanaHeat. I am a Moderator on the Heat message board. My duty is to oversee the content of the board and move, lock or delete threads as necessary. But most importantly, my main duty is to answer any question or comment you may have about anything on the board and address your issue promptly to make your experience on the boards a great one! That is my mission statement.

With that being said, I want to say a few more things.

I want you guys to know that you can PM me about anything at anytime and your questions/comments WILL be answered. I love receiving a PM so never feel "intimidated" or shy to shoot me one.

No one is superior to anyone here. We are all here to discuss our favorite team, the Heat. Fans from other teams are always welcome as long as they don't come here to troll.

I will NEVER lock or delete a thread because I disagree with what you're saying or I just don't like you. That would be abusing my power. When it turns into SPAM (like we've seen tonight) or when a thread gets so off-topic that no one remembers what it was originally about, I will lock or delete it. If your thread is deleted, don't start freaking out and shoot a MOD or the Admin (HeatISA) a PM. Sometimes threads are deleted to clear bandwidth space for the site.

I expect the respect I give to everyone because we're all here to have intelligent conversations and have a good time.

I really appreciate what you are doing Ralph cause there are just some threads that are mostly out of place and we need active Mods like you and GQ7 to organize stuff so that better unread topics wont be buried on the next page. of course we know that Big Dee and Diego are always here but these two are taking it laid back.

Whoever promoted GQ and Havana to the moderator status really does prove that your suggestions will be considered rather than thrown away.

I recall making a thread about two or three months ago stating that it was about time to change the attitude of these message boards, and restore it to its original form. The amount of crap, and the fact there were only two or three active moderators was really a problem here. Not that Diego and Big Dee were doing a bad job (and then there's Tiffy..idk if she's still a mod) it's just that they needed help to contain the crazed threads and posters. This eventually led to to the hard work of admins to give GQ7 and HavanaHeat this prestigious reward for all of their hard and respected posting.

Keep up the good work Havana and GQ, a lot less spam since i joined last month. I was new to message boards and even I thought it was out of control.

On a side note: MH4Lyfe...The Mark Blount facts on your sig are both shocking and mind blowing LOL
