Greetings Moderators, homers, friends and fellow posters.

These are just a few ideas I've been thinking would be nice additions to the Forums. Feedback (positive or negative) is welcome, and as long as it's constructive criticism, I won't bash you.

1. A Forum designated as the "Thread Hall of Fame." Where truly classic discussions and debates can be moved and locked in order to be preserved. I like to occasionally look back at classic threads and reminisce on the topic itself, and the takes of the people in it.

The way it is done on Magic.com is actually simple: There is a stickied thread within the Hall Of Fame forum itself, and you nominate what threads you think should be there by including the title and link. Moderators then lock and move those threads to the location if enough positive feedback comes in favor of the thread requested.

2. I know I've suggested it before, but how about an all-day, open chat? HEATISA was worried that activity in the forums themselves would diminish, but I don't think so. I think the chats would mainly be for friendly, off-topic conversations like "How's it going, man?" kind of stuff. I know getting into debates in a chat isn't usually enjoyable, I've been there and done that.

3. (This one will receive negative comments I'm sure...) How about a forum for Mark Blount?

I actually had another real one to post, but I cant remember it at the moment. *Thinks* Oh well, it left me. Let me know what you all think!?

4. You know how we did the "Message Board Awards" (Props to Bjorn)? Well, for whoever won anything for this year, wouldn't it be cool to have that "official"? Like under your title "Star" or "Coach" or whatever, have the title "2009 Moderator of the year" or "2009 Most Valuable Poster" and if you simply just made the list of All-stars, then "2009 Forum All Star Team".

I think Bjorn did a great job, and I know everyone liked it. I think if the respective winners got to keep their titles under their name/karma rank for a whole year, it'd be tight. And once it is re-done next off-season, you do it again. (and any repeat winners get to add the years on, lol)

Numbers 1 and 4 are sick, count me in!

Good suggestions. I only wish I wasn't away last year so I could have made my case and campaigned for an award. *sigh*

Dude same, I only just recently started posting again. I left because the topics were just so bad and there were too many idiots ruining the forums.

I was in it for the 6th man poster of the Year Award or something like that but I had some tough competition. Always next year I guess, . J/K.

But anywayz, I love all of the ideas, I was thinking about the thread Hall Of Fame one a couple of days ago, and could find about 5-7 threads in the Miscellaneous Section that would be great Nominees.

The Open Chats would be fun, get to know everybody a little bit more and talk about everyday things in life too, plus there really would be no homerism, arguements or personal attacks on people. (I know you and GQ will have little side "feuds" too about your "problem", lol).

I also like the Mark Blount one too, because who doesn't love Mark Blount, no homo,?

BTW, since Bjorn came up with the Heat Message Board Awards, I think he should be the Host of it for every year. He did a great job, was a fun host and it was a blast overall.

If you get enough feedback and a lot of the members are willing to contribute POSITIVELY to your suggestions, then i am willing to go through with the suggestions that have the most feedback.

You heard the boss guys. We might not be able to go through with all the suggestions but pick the top 2-3 and express why you would think these additions would be good to the board.

Give your feedback and we might just have a very big transformation to the board

I support 100%....well 75% because I just cant fathom a Mark Blount section, lol

I'd say I'm on board with all 4 of these, especially #4 (selfishly).

Those are some great ideas Switch! I especially like the hall of fame threads and the awards under your rank (hopefully next year I will be able to be apart of it lol) But I like hour ideas and support them 100%

if you don't mind these are some of my old suggestions and it would be great if I can get some feedback

1. Flags- next to your name or somewhere under your rankings I think it will be cool to have q flag where u are from
2. Vbookie- this is a very cool free betting system that cN be incorparated (sp?) into the forums. It's based on putting points on different NBA games during the year. Looks at spurs talk forum to check it out
3. Torphies- I think every memeber who was here during the 2006 title run should get a little Larry obrien trophy under there name. It would be cool to see was here and who cAme after the run and after every title the memebers that were here will get a trophy
4 bigger avatars and centered sigs

those are my 2 cents but anyways love these forums and hope to see them get bettr in future

I'm also pushing for the 150 post prerequisite before starting a thread. I think most of us can agree to that.
