i think(just think) blount should be the starter because of his size, his nice shooting touch, and i know his soft, cant rebound, dont defend but his the best option we have..Signing magloire is a nice move for some defence but i think he should come off the bench.cuz his kinda old, havent played for a while and might be too excited and some unnecessary stuff.

ALL WE NEED NOW IS A SMALL FORWARD WHO CAN DEFEND AND SHOOT THE THREE BETTER THAN MARION ALA SCOTTIE PIPPEN

I guess, it is more of a personal opinion but I would prefer Magloire starting provided that he could he handle the physical nature of the game right now. Blount can shoot but we have enough capable shooters. Magloire might be unpredictable but at least he will try to combat the other centers from other teams. Then I think depending on the second unit from the other team, I would decide on whether or not to play Blount or Anthony. Obviously, if it is a mismatch in Blount's favor, play him on the second unit. Otherwise, it would be a great time to play Anthony and see if we give him the minutes then maybe he will continue to enhance his play...

I can't believe anyone would even consider Blount as an option. The center position requires you rebound, block shots and score in the post, more importantly DEFEND (Block shots and rebound). Blount can do neither of the two. The worst center I have ever seen even Doleac did a better job at center. Ofcourse Magloire should start at the center position.

Really, I know we go after Blount, and he sucks as a playa, but this is new year, we have 3 choices, 4 and 5 if u include Mourning's return and possible spot minutes of Haslem at the center... if he goes and proves that he belongs then he should get those minutes but if he does last season again, then he can put on civilian clothes and come to NC to watch Miami games on the tube like me...

30 year old Magloire words:
>"This is an opportunity for me to re-energize my career,"
>"I love this game so much and the fact that I didn't play last year just makes me more vicious and more hungry to go out there and get the job done this year. The memories I have, it's all motivation now."
>"I see this team as a playoff team,"
>"I see this team with just as much of a chance as any other team, especially in this division, to win the division, to win the East and to fare well."
>"Last year, opportunity didn't knock," Magloire said.

Wow! Full of fury in his words...Magloire is highly motivated now to work hard and wants to show that he can still play very well offensively and defensively like what we saw on him in 2004 New Orleans season...I fully believe in him beyond unreasonable doubt that he will work very hard before the season starts and will retain his nickname as the "big cat"...

Pat Riley said:
"He will dramatically support our post position," Heat president Pat Riley said. "He is an excellent rebounder with a big body. On the defensive end he will plug up the paint and the offensive end he can score. We feel that this is definitely the right place for him."

You are very right Pat...He will not let you down beyond unreasonable doubt...

nobody voted for joel anthony. why? he is a very tough defender. he could be a promising center for the miami heat because he blocks like alonzo...
