yes to get a playoff spot is going to be a hard struggle this year for the heat
1-4 locked up clevland,boston,orlando,atlanta,
5-8 teams that are on the rise washington gilberts healthy they have a great scorer now who can help the team defensively in randy foye
ARENAS,FOYE,BUTLER,JAMISON,PRObably MCGEE
THE BULLS gave the celtics a run for there money they wil be great with a young rose in his second year

76ers brand will be back iggy and young will improve

PISTONS stuckey has a full year as a starter and now they have no iverson drama

THE HEAT better make a move if they want to SQUEESE into the playoffs.

This year every team will get better tell me what you think we need to do to compete with these teams

lets not forget that beasley and chalmers will be better next year, and jermaine oneal will be healthy, so will moon. also, this group is going to have a whole summer to practice together which makes a huge difference.

I dont think they would miss the playoffs without making a trade, but I do think that they probably wont make the top 4 seeds

if those rookies make a huge jump, it will take a ton of pressure off wade. It will make a huge difference. Its like when wade was playing injured and then the way he played when he was healthy, the difference was almost night and day.

thats the difference that I hope a year of experience and an off season of practice together will give those 2 rookies.

Thats a lot of hope. I really don't see them making so huge of a jump that we can compete with those teams. Without any moves combined with the moves other teams are making we'll be lucky to be the 8th seed.

And just imagine us getting the 8th seed, getting raped by the Cavs/Orl in the first round. Wade would be as good as gooooone next year.

lol true. Im hoping for a miracle beasley season that all the beasley homers were saying he would have this season. Im not sold on the kid yet, but im hoping im wrong and that he is a great player.

But yes, even if the rookies improve, If we dont atleast get a good vet pg, we arent going further up than the 5-6 seed.

BUT what if beasley is not as good as we think he will be and we had the chance to trade him for pretty much anyone stoude/bosh and we didnt capitalize. then i would feel like we wasted a season where we could of had one of them and made a title push

i wouldnt trade him for one of those guys unless there was a way to get them to sign an extention and lock them up past 2010 as soon as we traded beasley for them.

BUT what if Beasley is better than we actually think and we do a bad trade.

I will stay with Beasley. I still think he had a pretty good rookie year.

We aren't going further than the 7th seed imo. Cle, Orl, Bos, Atl, Wash, Chi...all have more talent than us. I'm sure Philly will find some way to acquire Devin Harris or somebody by the end of the week too.

Still can't believe you think there's a better chance that Chalmers and Beasley improve so much after one season that we become contenders than a good trade for us like the ones we all been suggesting goes down.

Stuckey is and Stuckey's that... Pistons ain't making the playoffs w/o Sheed, Brown and Mcdyess (Just referring that they might lose their good frontcourt players).

2009 Season priorities

*Earn a good playoff spot, which closely suggests at the 4th seed.

*Consistency

Everyone is talking about the Bulls and Wizards, I think you should listen to this:

Bulls are Sh/it they lost their leading scorer and you think a turnover prone no jumpshot Derrik rose, that bum tyrus thomas, no scoring threat Noah and 2 players who can only score salmons and deng.

The Heat can sweep the Bulls if they played in the playoffs either 4-0 or 4-1.

Don't let me go on the Wizards. Gilbert Arenas is the most INCONSISTENT PLAYER I EVER SEEN. Caron is also, jamison should be getting paid more than both of them. The Wizards actually think keeping the same core players who are below par for six years straight is going to get them a title?

Randy foye better be starting at the 1 becuase Gil is just horrible playing the 1.
