The Heat can sweep the Bulls if they played in the playoffs either 4-0 or 4-1.

Don't let me go on the Wizards. Gilbert Arenas is the most INCONSISTENT PLAYER I EVER SEEN. Caron is also, jamison should be getting paid more than both of them. The Wizards actually think keeping the same core players who are below par for six years straight is going to get them a title?

Randy foye better be starting at the 1 becuase Gil is just horrible playing the 1.

I'll agree with you about the first statement but you think the heat are better then the wizards?

Even before the trade the wizards were better then us. I'm sorry but right now were a one man band the wizards have a big 3 and a great bench and actually built on to there starting 5 and added a nice scorer off the bench. I think the Eastern confrence will go like this

Clevland
Orlando
Boston
Washington
ATL
Miami
bulls
76ers

Barring any serious injury, I could see Boston, Orlando, and Cleveland remaining at the top of the East pile, but everything after that is just a crap shoot.

None of the other teams are head and shoulders above us, and free agency does not officially start until July 1st. Who knows what is in the works:

Will the Hawks lose Bibby?
Will the Bulls lose Gordon?
Will the Sixers lose Miller?

I see alot of non basketball sense going on here first 1-4 i have no prob with if turk is resigned and rando and allen dont get traded,
Let me destroy all the teams you think are better than us easily
Washington yeap alot of scorers no defense and the biggest thing that makes them laughable is they have 1 center and only one on the team Hyward is there ONLY big man with every other top 8 team having some sort of post presence BEASLY ALONE IS BIGGER THAN EVERY PLAYER ON THERE TEAM BESIDES HAYWARD.(HERES a good static for you per min he is the 3 highest fouling center lots of small ball for them =the loss)
Bulls have good promise but they live and die by big shots not consistent at all but i can see them sneaking in there.

Sixers we all know andre miller was the glue that held that team together hes gone and further more with brand back in the lineup they once again becomes a half court team.before brand went down did you know fully healthy they had the worst record in the east because they have all athleticsm cant hit a jump shot to save there lives ill make it simple BRAND=HALFCOURT HALFCOURT=WORSE TEAM IN THE LEAGUE proven. SHALLi go on?

ARENAS,FOYE,BUTLER,JAMISON,PRObably MCGEE
THE BULLS gave the celtics a run for there money they wil be great with a young rose in his second year

76ers brand will be back iggy and young will improve

PISTONS stuckey has a full year as a starter and now they have no iverson drama

THE HEAT better make a move if they want to SQUEESE into the playoffs.

This year every team will get better tell me what you think we need to do to compete with these teams

Stop the madness!!! Why is it every team in the East gets better except the Heat??? According to you our rookies and coach won't improve as much as everyone else's, our starting 5, which by the way played together less than half the season, won't gel as much as everyone else's, and our bench, which is young, won't become more consistant.

Relax!!! Miami will make the playoffs and unless its the big 3 (Boston, Cleveland, or Orlando) should make it out of the 1st round. I'm looking forward to a new and wonderful season of Heat basketball

Thats a lot of hope. I really don't see them making so huge of a jump that we can compete with those teams. Without any moves combined with the moves other teams are making we'll be lucky to be the 8th seed.

And just imagine us getting the 8th seed, getting raped by the Cavs/Orl in the first round. Wade would be as good as gooooone next year.

its amazing that everyone seems to think that the east is the super power now... does everyone think that chicago, ny, atlanta, and philly are gonna be that much better than MIA? i mean really? because ive seen what can happen, in cooks 1st year, he couldnt hit a bucket, now hes one of the better 3 point shooters in the game...

never doubt the ability of the young guys, or what a full offseason can do for a team...

oneal, beasley, chalmers, and cook ALL improved last year DURING the season... imagine them fresh off of camp together... i cant imagine why no one seems to be optimistic this year...

No one said anything about NY first of all. Second of all, yes. Those rosters are much better than ours. We were as successful as we were last year because we had Wade carrying us and playing out of his mind. If he plays even better next year, sure, we'll be the 5th maybe 6th seed like all you people stupidly expect. But if he doesn't, even if he JUST performs on the same level he did this year, I cannot possibly imagine how yall expect us to get as many wins as the teams that have made all these major upgrades without any of our own.

HEAT ARE STILL THE 4TH BEST IN THE EAST, JUST CAUSE HAWKS GOT CRAWFORD AND AND WIZARDS GOT ARENAS DONT MEAN JACK

WITHA HEALTHY JO,MOON, AND LUTHER HEAD AND THE EMERGANCE OF QUINN BEASLEY COOK, JONES AND CHALMERS, I FRANKLY FEEL SORRY FOR OPPOSING TEAMS,

PLUS A SECOND YEAR OF COACHING FROM THE GREAT UNCLE SPOEY I SAY WE WILL BE 3RD SEED WITHOUT ANY MAJOR TRADES, IF WE GET 1 GREAT TRADE WE WILL BE 1ST SEED

Let's relax a little. Free agency has not started yet. If we have to go with what we have, we can better than last years. As stated in an earlier post, Beasley, Chalmers and JO should all be better. Of course the win total can then be negated if Wade has to miss 6-10 games to injury.

We are not in title contention unless we keep B-Easy and get a super star for this year. I see no difference if we are the 6th seed or 8th seed. We are not winning a title this year period. I come from the old school. I agree with guys like Bird and McHale, if you are not in title contention first or second round exit is the same thing.

Pat is gearing up for 2010. We will just have to live with it and enjoy the season. Wade is not going to leave if Beasley improves greatly and Pat signs a stud to play with him at the end of the year.

It is what it is.

As for all these improved teams. Logic dicates that all can't go 82-0. Like all seasons there will be some surprises and disappointments.

wade said he wants homecourt...right now unless they make some serious trades..looks like a tough goal to accomplish

but i would never doubt a team with wade...hell we beat lakers cavs and orlando this year with this squad..we are capable of competing with the best just gotta be more consistent and play to our strengths...which at the moment is the man wearin #3

If Gordon is leaving the Bulls then I'd hope were looking in to get him...without Gordon the bulls are an alright team, yes they have salmons, rose, miller and Deng, but Gordon just throws throws big time threes up in the sky and they magically go in. And if i'm not mistaken...without Gordon, the bulls wouldn't have lasted as long as they did in the first round against the C's

About time people use a little common sense.

Show me where Chicago, Wizards, Phil are better then Miami? I'll give you the Hawks but, crawford does not make that gap much bigger.

Justafan, because what people are saying how the wizards and bulls will be better. Miami can be better.

Haslem was hurt, J.O was hurt. Beasley, Chalmers and Erik were all rookies. All of that should improve. Come on dude, the heat are still a 4th-5th seed.
