Dwyane Wade babyy!

---------------------------------

"We wish Jordan were seven feet, but he isn't. There just wasn't a center available. What can you do? Jordan isn't going to turn this franchise around. I wouldn't ask him to. He's a very good offensive player, but not an overpowering offensive player." - Rod Thorn, then Bulls General Manager, after selecting Jordan with the third pick in the 1984 NBA draft.

Well seeing how Wade came in to the Heat and revived the team we have every right to say were D-Wades Miami Heat Fans...I mean AA Arena is in Wade County

For instance Michael Jordan...Everyone was Jordan Fans and watched Jordan and the Bulls...Now hes gone and most are just Jordan Fans...what else do they have to look forward to...John Salmons and Kirk Heinrich

I was originally a Lakers fan, because I liked Wilt (towards the end he was a Laker with West and Baylor) and Shaq, my all time favorite. I guess my favorite type of NBA player is a dominant powerful type over speedy and finess.

When Shaq was traded to Miami, I became a Heat fan and learned as much as I could of the teams history. When Shaq left, the franchise grew on me and will be my favorite for life now.

i got my thing here who every season i pick 1 rookie to support. and i started it in 2002... my rookie pick there is Caron Butler.. then the next year Dwyane Wade so i think those two is the reason..

BTW my this year pick for rookie of the year is Stephen Curry.

Rain Or Shine - Gabe Norwood (best Pilipino PG)

San Miguel - Arwind Santos (versatile Pilipino PF)

Since 1999 I liked Gary Payton and he was and still is my favorite Basketball player. When the 03-04 season while I liked the Lakers because they got Gary Payton, I always knew Dwyane Wade was going to be great, and in my mind I thought he was going to be the next Kobe. I'd watch Wade even more in the 04-05 season when I got NBA TV and the sports package.

The 05-06 Season, I thought the Heat was going to crush everyone when they got Shaq, Posey, Toine, J-will with their already good line-up. A couple days later when I thought the Mavericks were going to get payton, he signed with the Miami Heat. And they been my favorite team since then and I declared Dwyane Wade my favorite player since Payton retired.

Now for the past 4-5 years of me liking the Heat, they drafted Beasley. I tell my brother and father who also are interest in sports (Basketball) Wade is better than Bron and he is on Kobe's level. I also tell them Beasley is going to be the best PF in the league in 2-4 years. THe Wade part is true and the beasley part is going to be true. I'm a DIE HARD HEAT FAN. And my predictions are never wrong.

Dwyane Wade.

In 2004-2005. I still can't get over the lost on game 7 against the Detroit Pistons when we were winning the whole game and we lost it in the last minute.

Stan Van Gundy mistakes and lack of inspiration made us lose that conference Finals.

Also thanks to Riley that he came back to coach next season and show everyone how to be a good coach and an inspirator.

Since 88'.

Not surprised to see so many members just here because of Dwyane. Today kids are infatuated with one player, and simply only follow him around. You can blame Michael Jordan for that.

i became a fan in the year before the championship . well later when the heat lost to the pistons. I did not know anything of the NBA, my family are not big fans.so i did not know. I am 15 now. BUT U DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THE HEAT. IF THEY SUCK I STILL WATCH. IF THEY ARE GOOD I WATCH. I watched almost every game last season, and llve in ATL. i just moved from miami a year and half ago. I am the biggest Heat fan in the school. I will get pissed when they all say wade sucked. i am glad he proved them wrong and after that they still talk smack. when i first saw wade i never thought he was going to become what he is now. in the 2006 final. me and all my family put up a big screen with a projection. my uncle was a teacher so he had that. We where losing game 1. evryone left, it was only me and the TV. i never quited. Game 2 the same. After that we did not have the partys any more. But I always knew there was a chance. I never said it was over. until it was over and the heat were champs. since then i watched almost every game i could. even the summer league. I just love Basketball. and the heat. the same i Feel for the Marlins. I love sports

Im sorry, but thats BS. There hasnt been too much going on in Miami for the past decade...but D Wade. What else would you expect people to say about a franchise that has been mediocre AT BEST for the past 10 years? They became a fan of Miami HEAT because they had a cool logo?

I see you're from Miami, so theres no surprise that you'd be a fan since thats your "home team", but that doesnt make you any more of a fan than someone who likes Miami because of D Wade, Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Michael Beasley, etc.

Im from Charlotte, so of course I followed the Hornets/Bobcats, but I didnt become a real fan until I saw Tyrone "Mugsy" Bouges, Larry "Grandmama" Johnson, Alonzo Mourning & Dell Curry...Those players drew me into being a fan of the team. Michael Jordon isnt the "blame" for that since people before MJs time have liked teams because of a player they were fans of...

So yeah, it may sound all fine and dandy so say "Ive been a fan for 10+ years" but I refuse to believe that you just liked something "Just because"...Something (more than likely) SOMEONE, whether it was a player on that team, or your uncle was influential into making you become a fan...it is what it is...

They have been my second favorite team for a while with zo in the 90s and caron odom wade later on. They became my favorite after my favorite player,Shaq, got traded to the heat. Since then i decided to stick with the heat even if wade leaves.
