I became a heat fan because i was born in Miami,FLA and i love playing basketball and because of watching MJ's BULLS games in the 90's with my dad as a little kid. Then i moved overseas so i didn't see any Miami Heat games the closest i got was the NBA Live 97 on my play station 1 and saw tim hardaway on the cover. Than i moved to mexico city back in 2003 and we got dish network than i could finally see more basketball games i remember the roster of rafer alston at the 1 wade as a bench energy player during his rookie tenure eddie jones at the 2 caron at the 3 odom at the 4 and brian grant at the 5 that team was so fun to watch and had so much promise. I remember all the espn analysts being on melo and lebrons jock but in the playoffs when wade hit the game winner over baron davis that was amazing and I knew then he would go down as one of the best ever. I love all sports and love all Florida sports teams, I also follow Orlando very much i couldn't see penny and shaq games i was probably 4 years old at the time, however i was a huge follower of t-mac's stay in the early 2000's, what a shame G-HILL got injured. Anyways I have been a heat fan since 97 however i have been very limited because of my location and now that my dad is retiring and I am relocating to Orlando in 30 days I can't wait to go see Dwade and superman at the Amway arena until the new stadium gets built.

Wade MVP song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1axAhfNMkOk

Unlike Kobe,Wade makes his team better, He gave Shaq his fourth ring who gave Kobe three.

Wade's first time in the finals he won mvp. lebrons first time there they swept him off his feet.

You'll never guess what made me a fan of basketball and Heat basketball...

When I was in Grade 4, my dad, neighbor and friend taught me how to play basketball. I really didn't love basketball or watching basketball that time, it was just I was likely forced, but I respect them, even when I didn't love it. When time got past, I became a computer addict. When I have nothing to do at a computer, I played NBA Live 08. I liked the Heat, because of Wade, Shaq and the whole Heat roster. When days and months have gone by, I got more connected w/ the Heat and I just made my computer time as a hobby because I played more basketball the whole time. My story is not that long nor dramatic, but it kinda changed my bad attitude though.

2009 Season priorities

*Earn a good playoff spot, which closely suggests at the 4th seed.

*Consistency

*WIN!

Mines is probably the craziest.

I'm not in the States though, never went to US before, and my fellow friends who are Heat fans are wondering why the heck did I like them when im soooo far from them that it would take hours to reach America, im thousands of kilometer away..but here goes.

Back in 2003, it was a week before opening of school and me and my uncle went to the mall to buy my school backpack and a pencil case.

Now I was choosing between 3 bags, one with T-Mac's jersey in it, one with the Miami Heat Logo on it, and one with if I can remember it correctly, it was a blue team, maybe it was the Pistons..yeah..I used to only watch Celtic games when I was a kid, not much interested in basketball til that moment, I bought the one with the Heat logo in the end, and started to see more of the logo in NBA Live 03 or 04, cant remember exactly....and I started playing with them, til I opened my eyes up and loved basketball since, the Hornets and Pacers series was one heck of a ride and you add the 2 sweeps before that game 7 loss after that, but you all know we still won it in 06 baby..06/07 was a decent but injury plauged season and same with the horrible 07/08 but here I am, still supporting my Miami Heat.

Plus when I talk to my classmates whom I have no ocntact since 5 years ago, they're in shock whenever they see my logo in MSN being the Heat logo saying "you still love/support Miami?"

haha..screw them coz theyre bandwagoners..

i was born and raised in the beautiful city of miami, i remember watching jordan back in the days and thats what made me become a fan of the game, but then but the year i really started becoming a disgusting heat fan was when the lineup was:
pg- tim hardaway
sg- dan majerle
sf- jamal mashburn
pf- pj brown
c- alonzo mourning

ooo the good ole days when every year it would be so exciting to play the knicks in the playoffs... im sorry but nothin could ever amount to that era of basketball

When Greece beat USA at the world championship, the only player that played decent from the USA was Wade. I started watching him from there on.

The year is 1990. Your boy, The Doug Movement, is 5 years old. His dad packs him into the car and drives an hour from Parkland, Fl to Miami. They sit in the 10th row and by the end of the game, a lifelong Heat fan is born.

It’s cool if you’re a Heat fan, regardless of the reason. However, I would like to ask everyone who became a fan because of Wade a question: If Wade leaves; will you still be a Heat fan?

I was watching Wade in Marquette and decided I would follow the young man throughout his career.

He came to Miami, so I came with him. :]

I'll still be a Heat fan if he leaves as well though.
