my brother was watching a heat game, he did so everytime they played but i never cared. For some reason i decided to watch a game and wade was incredible. So i started watching because of wade and if wade left i would root for whatever team he's on, along with the heat.

Respect others...

Who was the estonian player?

Martin Muursepp, though he played only 10 games for heat before traded to dallas Smiler

Most here are gonna be tested if they're gonna leave the Heat. We'll see if what fans they really are...

I wasn't watching baskeball and i was too young when MJ was playing though. I never saw MJ playing. I just heard about him when the grown ups talked about him, but nothing else. If I would have watched him I would have probably be a basketball fan since then.

I could have sworn it was becouse of Bez, well you learn something every day. Smiler

I feel you though, Wade can would get anyone to like basketball he really is special.

The year is 2005. I'm 12, hanging out at my best friends house. We are playing his PS2, playin Star Wars battlefront. Well we got bored of that so I started looking though his game collection, and lo and behold, I found NBA 2k5 (which was with ESPN at the time). We popped it in and I was amazed at the demo which started playing. I immediately opened up a game and proceeded to windmill dunk with Ben Wallace every other play. Smiler

Anyway, from then on both of us became instant NBA fans. He is a fan of Indiana because Danny Granger went to college where he lives. I became a Heat fan in 06 when the Heat played against Detroit in the playoffs (bandwagon, I know). I was learning EVERYTHING possible about the NBA. I was definitely a Wade fan vs a Heat fan. Where I live, there isn't a NBA team, so I find myself more loyal to players rather than teams, which is why I jump teams so much. I went from a Heat fan, to the Hornets, then Magic (who for the record I liked since they drafted Howard), and the Bucks because of Michael Redd.

Call me a bandwagon all you want, but at least most of you get to go to games.

I became a HEAT fan playing NBA Live 07 x)

I borrowed the game from a friend. He was a Houston Rockets fan, and I had to pick a team to root for aswell. I played my first quickplay game HEAT vs. Dallas, as they both had 95 as rating. I played as HEAT, because I thought "Dallas? ...Nah. Miami? Aight!". The day after, I told my friend about it, and I mentioned Shaq. But when I said "They also had one other guy named Dwyane Wade who was really good", he said "pffff"... Then I continued playing with Miami, and read about HEAT, and figured they won the title in '06. The first NBA season I watched, was 07-08 season, which was kinda hard being new to the sport and rooting for a team who won 15 games, while my friends teams won 40+... Now, I do know ALOT about Miami and the NBA.

I am a Wade fan, but foremost a Miami fan. I like Cook, Wright, Haslem, Beasley, Supermario, JO, Anthony, J-Mag, JJ etc etc... And, heck, even Blount, Ricky D, JWill and Doleac. I mean, Im a MIAH fan, and they've all bean HEATers Big Grin

"Dwyane comes in every day and says 'I'm tired, I don't feel like doing it right now,'. If 40 points, 46, 47 points is tired, I'd like to see him fully energized.'' - Micheal Beasley

The Knicks in the 90's made me a fan.

I hated those baztards with a passion. My hate for them made me love Miami all the more. The moment where PJ Brown chokeslamed Charlie is when I really became a fan for real.

Also loved Mourning and Timmy. Great players.

lol this is how it goes for me:

wayyyyyyyyyyy back in the early 1990s I was playing a basketball game (NBA Jam IIRC) with my brother and I randomly selected a team and I ended up with the Heat. I instantly liked the logo and I dominated with the 2 default Heat players (Seikaly and Grant Long IIRC). So I decided that was it, I'm supporting the Miami Heat.

Years later I told my friend this and he said luckily I didn't end up with the Grizzlies or the Hawks lmao freaking true.

P.S. everybody including my brother was supporting the Bulls then (cos of Michael Jordan and that they seemed to be winning everything) but I don't know why I never liked the Bulls. I admired Jordan though.

Growing up watching basketball, I was a Bulls fan. What can I say MJ was F'n Beast! But after the team was dismantled, there was the lockout and I was kinda unaware of what was happening to basketball (I was like 11 or 12).

So anyways, it was the 2000-2001 season when we made the trades to acquire Jones, Mason, and Grant was when I started to actually follow the team. That team couldve made the finals had Zo's kidney not failed.

But all in all, Miami got its title Big Grin

I started playing basketball in 2005, for my school here in england, and at first i didn't watch any games or support any team. So i decided to search youtube for Micheal Jordan videos because my teacher told me to study his game. This was my first real contact with the NBA, and in the next few days i had a conversation with my coach again, he told me if i was really interested i should take at look at Dwyane Wade. Since that night i have been a Miami Heat fan.

And yeah, i know some of you might be saying "Oh yeah he's another Wade supporter, blah blah blah" but i found out channel 5 here in the UK had NBA highlights and sometimes games on at 1am/2am. The first game i watched was Miami game at the AA arena. And from that moment i fell in love with the sport/miami. It was the beggining of our championship year, and to see the dominace of Shaq, and the sheer brilliance of Dwade was just amazing, and the closeness of the final quarter, the tension, got my adrenaline pumping. And because it was 2 in the morning, i had next to no sleep that night, thinking about how the next day i would be dwyane wade. From 2005-Now, i have been a miami heat fan. Everyday when i get back from school, my laptop opens and nba.com is straight on, and i am checking the scores from the previous night's game.

Temptation is always there to convert to another team, like Dwight Howard and the Magic always enticed me. As my body is progressing through its teenage years, and growth spurts are a regualr occurence, i began to become taller, stonger, and i found i was more suited to the big man role on the team, and i find valuable lessons in basketball by watching superman, for an almost 7 footer to be that agile and powerful is just amazing is it not?

Anyway, to the point, i am a Miami Heat Fan, not just a Dwyane Wade fan. But to be honest, we will always have a place in our hearts for Dwyane wherever he goes. If he does leave next year. I'll still follow him and whatever team he goes to. But Miami will still be number 1.
