He's way better than the crap we have been taking to camp lol! He is a breath of fresh air. Good investment if Riles rolls the dice

I think nothing will happen in the short term without waiving or trading players. He will not be ready to play any time soon, but it seems Riley really likes the idea of investing in him - but not at the expense of the luxury tax. Plus, remember, we still need to leave room for Zo on the roster.

Hi there,
I don't care if they don't think he is ready yet or Riles either. The bottom line here is that we don't need him anyways unti he is full fledge, even tho I feel that he will be 90-95% back to his old self,I don't think he'll ever be 100% from that type of injury.Young or not. Riles just need to sign him for a future investment and in the meanwhile S.L. can keep rehabbing at Grover GYM up until he and the doctors feel he is ready to take on the Hardwood. Get it done Riles, cause you already think he reminds you of Magic J. |

Our future investment was mario chalmers. Livingston at this point would just be taking up a roster spot really and we'd just be paying the luxury tax for a player who would only just throw off our rhythm and chemistry if he even attempted to come back later this year. We'll have more opportunities to get better point guards in the future. Lots of players are going to be available in 2010.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take |

this is great if we sign him. its a low-risk high reward thing. if he comes back we can say we got an awsome steal but if he cant come back and play we let him go and move on.

Ok seriously, what in the blue hell are you smoking? and whatever it is....put it down....and back away SLOWLY...Now I understand that your post was your opinion, which I respect and dont have any issue with you posting your opinion. But at the same time...cmon dude...lay off the Mary-Jo-Juana I've really been trying to stay off the SL issue until it was 100% official that he would be here. But after reading your post, I honestly cant believe that you would type such ignorant stuff like; "Livingston at this point would just be taking up a roster spot really and we'd just be paying the luxury tax for a player who would only just throw off our rhythm and chemistry if he even attempted to come back later this year" Newsflash!! THERE IS NO RHYTHM, THERE IS NO CHEMISTRY!!! Where have you been all summer? Why does everyone on this forum understand this upcoming season is going to be a huge science project with their goal just being reach the playoffs except for you? Why would the MIA coaching staff and front office be soooo worried about 'rhythm and chemistry' when they dont even have clue if Marion is going to be with them by the All Star break? So what rhythm and chemistry are you talking about? This is not even a rant because I like Livingston (which everyone and their grandma knows I do), Im ranting because you OBVIOUSLY are talking out of your doodoo shooter; You say Shaun Livingston, even at this state would ONLY be taking up a roster spot? WOW!!! I guess you're telling me that David Padgett, Matt Walsh, Omar Barlett, Eddie Basden, Tre Kelley, Jason Richarson (who wont even play this year) are all more valuable than a Shaun Livingston? That all of those names are a better choice than Livingston? LOL at you dude... Heres what get me, you sit there and actually type that; We'll have more opportunities to get better point guards in the future. Lots of players are going to be available in 2010. Are you forgetting that that money is to resign Wade to his obviously max contract and hopefully another big name to a maximum contract? Why are you typing like we're gonna be able to grab a brand new starting five unit? Since you said we'd have opportunities to grab 'better point guards' in 2010, I went through the list to see who we could actually get that would be hands down without a shout of a doubt better than Shaun Livingston. Are you ready? Here goes. 1. Steve Nash (who will be freakin 36 years old) Welp, thats about it...Here are some other great names to consider... 1. Speedy Claxton 2. Rajon Rondo (expect him to resign with Boston) 3. Maurice Williams 4. Chucky Atkins (LOL) 5. Rafer Alston (Houston wont let him go easily) 6. TJ Ford (for what? why bother? NEXT!!) 7. Jordan Farmar (I dont even know why I put his name on the list, LA is scooping him up asap) 8.Derek Fisher (Now this I might consider, but I know he wouldnt want to come here and frankly I wouldnt either. Not at that age) 9. Kyle Lowry (he'll definitely be looking for some big money around this time, so um...we might have to pass...) 10.Sebastian Telfair ( a little on the small side, wants to win, could be a decent pickup depending on our situation.) 11.Chris Duhon (him and NY will be on very very good terms around that time and he will resign with them) 12. Steve Blake (nope, no thanks) -------------------------------------------\ So I guess your "well have opportunities to get better point guards" bit was a lie huh? yeah, a flat out lie...I mean, i respect your opinion like I respect everyone elses, but at least people around here like to know what they're talkin about before just randomly typing stuff (well excluding that mao-pal-petit-pootyhead guy). Pffft....Im going back to bed... In my world, excellence is only a prerequisite; I am LEGENDARY Voted 2009 Defensive Poster of the Year by the HEAT forum community |

EL SEGUNDO - Several teams remain intrigued with the prospect of having Shaun Livingston on its roster. That includes the Lakers, according to head coach Phil Jackson.
“He’s Phil’s type of cat,” Lakers guard Derek Fisher said. “He’s versatile, with the ability to play a bigger guard defensively. We’re talented now but if Shaun somehow was able to join the mix, we’d be unbelievable.” “You have no choices about how you lose, but you do have a choice about how you come back and prepare to win again.”-- Pat Riley |

we would be foolish not to make this happen, yes i do believe chalmers can be the future...BUT! we have players like padgett, quinn, and others...they arent going to play, but they are here, GQ is right, AS USUAL...so please think more before you post stuff about why we should or shouldnt sign a player.
