Why do you have Kobe ahead of Shaq? Shaq in his prime ---- NO BODY IN THE HISTORY EVEN COMES CLOSE. Maybe MJ, but then again who can stop a center who is freaking huge and moblie too!
Hakeem, Kareem, and Wilt's peaks all run circles around Shaq's. Hakeem carried scrubs to his first championship while Shaq played with superstars in an era with no eastern conference. Kareem and Wilt's stats blow shaq's out of the water despite the fact they faced might tougher competition in a smaller unwatered down league.

Hmmm I can agree about Wilt's and Kareem's athleticsm and work ethic but to say they faced tougher competition than Shaq?!?!? nahh not even close man

IMHO Shaq would eat Kareem alive but Kareem was way smarter than Shaq and that's why he was capale of sustaining good game even past his prime, of course having Magic, Worthy, Scott and the showtime Lakers help a lot but.....

Now Wilt was a freak, too bad he did it with scrubs with the exception of the Boston Celtis(how can a team win 11 times in 13 years if wasn't for the "competition"??)

ppl will say, well how Jordan and the Bulls won 6 in 8?!?! well you had great players of pther teams, but you can't say the same from the Celtics era. You had good players of course but nothing like now or in the Jordan era.

Going back to the top now, but in '10-'11 will be the dynasty in the making!! ???

How many hall of fame caliber did Wilt had to face? Think about how many teams were in the league. And then realize how many times he had to play the same cats in a single year. Then think abou the center position from 98-06. Shaq played in the weakest era for centers ever. Dwight wasn't ready in his prime, Keem got old, Drob got old. He basicly faced stifs for a decade. And even if you want to throw the "wilt played with 6'5 white guys at center" argumnt which is factually incorrect you can't argue with what Kareem had to face. Wer talking about a dude that had to face Keem and Sampson in the same series! How can you claim Shaq would eat him up? He played hakeem close (although Hakeem edges him out imo) and Hakeem isn't close to Kareem! Bringing up Magic and Worthy is weak imo because he needed them because he was facing teams with Bird Parish and McHale. Shaq on the other hand got to face old as dirt (and then later young as hell)Spurs teams, a Portland squad with no real franhcise player, and a soft as hell King squad.

Why do I have Kobe ahead of Shaq in my list, that's a simple answer and that is because Kobe is a overall better athlete who has way more talent than Shaq has and trust me Iam not a Kobe fan at all. Also, everybody always talks about how great Shaq was in his prime but they forget to mention that he did not win any rings without kobe or wade because remember his orlando magic team only made it to one nba finals where they got whopped by a old houston rockets team 4-0.

THE HORRIBLE NBA REFS ARE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF TODAY'S NBA

Finally another person who remembers the old shaq shaq is my favorite player of all time and i agree but i think wilt and kareem could compete with shaq but one on one shaq is just to strong in his prime for anybody

Word. Lol. IMHO, Shaq WAS THE GREATEST DOMINANT FORCE in the history of the NBA. Too bad it was only temporaily. MJ was able to sustain it. You can blame Shaq for his non-existent work ethic but you also have to remember Shaq has a history of taking beatings.
Shaq was never close to the most dominant force in the history. Maybe the best player who was big as hell if that's your definition of dominance ut Kareem, Wilt, and MJ in their primes run rings around this cat.

LMAO. " maybe best player who was big as hell..." Big Grin
