well im thinking its becuase the seriosness of the injury... maybe espn or any actual nba source hasnt released it but for now hoopsworld, hoopsvibe, and hoopshype are saying that maybe some reporters mut it must a serious injury. And just also for the simplest fact that he lied and they can take away his 66 million and do nothing with him

From what I have read about Ellis and Jay Williams, I think Jay Williams' injury was much more serious. The only point here is that Ellis lied about how he got his injury, that's all.

I definitely think Ellis can be back and if the Warriors give him up even better cos that means we have a chance of going after him.

The reason ppl are saying his career is over or that if he comes back he wont average more than 10 points is because the ligament he tore is not an easy one to come back from. Monta relies on blinding speed and agility to be affective, he isnt a shooter. Thats why his game is gone cuz according to doctors, if u tear that ligament then its almost certain that you will never be explosive like u were before.

No it was the deltoid ligament. It connect the mid lower half of his leg with his heel. Its one of the strongest ligaments in the body thats why they say its unlikely he just rolled his ankle and tore it. The ligament basically stablizes the whole ankle.

so the way this article has been written, this is my conclusion.

Wade dislocates shoulder, out for rest of a season, he will never be the same, just ruined his career.

Yao Ming breaks foot TWICE in successive years, so he will never be the same.

Amare stoudemire, out for a whole year with microfracture surgery, will never be the same.

this guy is a idiot who shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a basketball game, because he obviously has never seen one.

these guys are strong, tough, and conditioned for a reason.

Wade will come back better than ever, as shown by the olympics.

Yao has played better each season of his career.

Amare stoudemire has absolutely dominated since his surgery. so dont tell me they wont be back, because they will.

Ellis is just another come-back story waiting to happen. so hes injured, alot of people are, but does that mean they can never ball like they did again? NO!

i know theres no comparison, but i play high school basketball. about 2 months into the season, i broke my right wrist, out for the rest of the season, including playoffs. (i played 1A, for those familiar with the format), and averaged around 5 points a game. well it healed, i came back in the summer, and averaged 8 points a game. its not a huge upgrade, but its still better, and my wrist felt great. so it all depends on how ellis feels WHEN he does come back and play his usual game.

1. Young players generally come back from serious injuries, the body can recover. (example Amare) Older players generally don't (J Kidd)

2. All this reading and I still don't know how he got injured.

I get what u mean and i agree that ppl talk way too much crap about when ppl get injured and how they wont be able to perform BUT the ligament he tore isnt like Amare's knee or Wade's shoulder. All of those can be operated on to made just like new. This isnt a ligament that u can just repair and he'll be back just like that. The ligament hold together the whole ankle movement. Most ppl who tear it are lucky to be able to run and jump playing pick up games, let alone an NBA game but like u said, it isnt impossible. He can come back but u cant compare those injuries(Amare,Wade,Yao) since the operation, rehab and determination that it takes for this injury towers over what has to be done for those injuries. Its like comparing tearing an ACL to a sprained ankle.
