Capital 9 News in Albany posted it four hours ago. It was an interview with Stephon Marbury, who was up that way on Monday as part of his Starbury sneaker tour, and offered this thoughts on Michael Vick. (There's a brief horse racing promo at the start of the clip.)

It’s just behind closed doors and I think it’s tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down. I think he’s one of the superb athletes and he’s a good human being. I think he fell into a bad situation.”

You have to believe the Knicks - and James Dolan - can not be pleased with these misguided sentiments.

Another Marbury dimwitted mistake

It's because dogs are a domestic animal. You could have a dog live in your house. You couldn't have a deer live in your house. "Man's best friend" is a phrase associated with dogs, not deer. Also, I know some people who eat deer, I'm not among those people, but some people eat deer. Very few people eat dogs.

Im not defending Vick nor im saying the pain these dogs suffer is equal to the others but people who hunt as a "sport" dont kill it to eat it.

So you saying any animal who are not considered domestic can be killed without a problem?

Well I will say this, deer that are shot go through much less suffering than a dog locked in a fight that can last for a very long time.

Well I will say this, deer that are shot go through much less suffering than a dog locked in a fight that can last for a very long time.

um.. its still not any better than killing a deer by shooting it in the head.

It isn't? If I had a choice between being choked slowly, killed by being slammed to the ground repeatedly, having chunks ripped out of me, or being shot in the head, I would take the last choice.

But that's just me. I'm not debating whether hunting is right or wrong, just saying that it's less cruel.

Hunting is just as stupid I mean how tough do you have to be to shoot a deer or a quail or a duck. If that is the best defense Marbury can think of he can just shut up for the rest of his existence. Not only did Vick personally help in hanging dogs he also drowned them. That is just a measure of cruelty in a person. A good person doesn't hang animals period. Vick plead guilty and we may never know the full extent of what he really did because it will never come out in trial. So add what we know which is cruel enough and then think what we may never know. Defending that is pretty bad

Yeah I guess all the deers out there running scared for their lives because a dumb a-hole hunter is out to kill them by putting a bullet in their head to eat them after its not that bad by your standards.

Actually, hunting is not stupid. I am not a hunter, never have been. Have many friends and family that are avid hunters and to the person they eat what they hunt. In many cases, if hunting was banned, there would be a great over population of particular animals and they would die of starvation. Dog fighting is cruel and inhumane. Just saw a piece on "Real Sports" and these Dog men are low rent, southern rednecks who represent the lowest form of humanity. They should be put in a pin with about 10 of these fighting dogs as punishment. See how they like getting their throats ripped out.

what make these dogs fight anyway?
